Back and Side

Back and side go bare, go bare
Both hands and feet go cold,
Belly, God send thee good ale enough,
Whether it be new or old.

I cannot eat but a little meat,
My stomach is not good,
But I do think that I can drink,
With him that wears a hood.

Back and side go bare, go bare
Both hands and feet go cold,
Belly, God send thee good ale enough,
Whether it be new or old.

Though I go bare I have no care,
For I am seldom cold.
I fill my skin so full within,
With jolly ale and old.

Back and side go bare, go bare
Both hands and feet go cold,
Belly, God send thee good ale enough,
Whether it be new or old.

And surely do I fear no man
Though ever he be rude
I am so lapped and thoroughly wrapped
In jolly ale and good.

Back and side go bare, go bare
Both hands and feet go cold,
Belly, God send thee good ale enough,
Whether it be new or old.
