And I Miss You (Like the Deserts Miss the Rain)

By Everything But The Girl

Step off the train
I'm walking down your street again
Past your door
But you don't live there anymore
Been years since you've been there
Now you disappeared somewhere
I got a space
You found some better place

And I miss you
(like the deserts miss the rain)

Could you be dead?
You always were two steps ahead
Of everyone
I walked behind while you would run
I look up at your house
And I can almost hear you shout
(down to me)
Where I always used to be

And I miss you
(like the deserts miss the rain)

Back on the train
I ask why did I come here
Can I confess
I've been hanging around your address
Years have proved
To offer nothing since you moved
You're long gone
But I can't move on

And I miss you
(like the deserts miss the rain)

Why is it I only seem to update after spending time with my beloved?
Eleven days are but a taste of eternity. Good thing that we will exist beyond eternity.
Greetings to you, oh reader. I hope you can find some surcease from sorrow in the musings of one wandering soul. Peace unto you, and may your travels be hearty and bright.
